Last night I made another trip to Brookville, Ohio to watch the Blue Devils host the Franklin Wildcats. Brookville came in with an 8-1 record while the Wildcats limped in on the three-game losing streak supporting a three-game losing streak. Wind and defense was the name of the game in this one.

Allen Dunn was hit by Grady Lamb of the Blue Devils after a tough four-yard pickup with just fifty-three seconds gone in this one. Michael Maloon got to Pierce Bauerle for zero yards on a nice play. Keegan Mehr was picked off by Seth Hoover midway through the opening quarter. Tressel Gibson bobbled the ball and Maloon made him pay for it with the loss of a yard. Before the quarter ended Brodey Whaley of the Wildcats was held to no gain when Vincent Brookshire and Dylan Starnes got to him.

Lamb got to Drew Isaacs for a loss of three yards but the Wildcats overcame the loss with a thirty-yard run from Tyler Murray. Fron there Reagen Brown picked up thirteen yards on a nice run. Brown looked to have a fourteen-yard touchdown a short time later but the Wildcats were called for holding negating the score. Facing a fourth and long the Wildcats decided to go for it with the end result being a twenty-four-yard touchdown catch by Hunter Prickett. Isaiah Bales shook off two missed field goals by hitting the point after kick to increase the Wildcats lead to 7-0, with 6:49 left in the half.

The Bue Devils closed out the half with a twelve-play forty-three-yard drive that ended on a two-yard touchdown run by Lamb to give us our 7-6 halftime score.

Bauerle fighting for extra yards coughed the ball up and making the recovery for the Blue Devils was

Mason Starnes. Keegan Mehr hooked up with Kory Davis for fifty-two yards, with 6:06 left in the third. Tim Davis added a three-yard run to the Wildcats three. He then closed the drive out with the three-yard touchdown run. Mehr to Kory Davis converted the two-point conversion making this a 14-7 game, with 4:31 left in the quarter.

The ensuing kickoff was recovered by the Blue Devils Lamb after it bounced off of a Wildcats return man. Mehr to Kory Davis nine-yard pass took the ball down to the Wildcats nine-yard line. The drive would continue and end in the fourth quarter when Mehr was picked off by C.J.James.

The Wildcats drive ended when Vincent Brookshire dropped on a Wildcats fumble. at the 6:44 mark of the final frame. After breaking a tackle and somehow keeping his feet Tim Davis went eighteen yards for the games final touchdown. Jakob Wissinger ended the scoring with his point-after kick to give us the final score of 21-7 Blue Devils.

Tim Davis went on a twenty-three-yard run for the Blue Devils late in the game. The drive ended at the one-yard-line with the Blue Devils taking the knee.
