The BG Marauders beat Purchase Line by a score of 38-8, to advance to the second round of playoffs. The win improves their record to 7-4 on the season.

The game started off with a bang, with QB Karson Kiesewetter completing a deep passing touchdown to WR Pat Reilly. And from that point on, the scoring run didn’t stop, with another few touchdowns being scored before the second string relieved the starters. The Marauders defense was also  relentless throughout the game, with sacks, tackles for losses, and gang tackles occurring often.

At halftime, the score was 25-0, thanks to offensive lineman Colin Butler and Anthony Edwards delivering pancake blocks throughout the game. Purchase Line’s defense had trouble containing RB Cooper Rother the entire game, and WR Dom Yanoshak and FB Drew Abraham each had 30-plus yard receiving touchdowns.

The BG defensive line also made a large impact throughout the game, and defensive lineman P.J. Pullock and Noah Ritchey tearing it up in the trenches.

The Marauders will move on and face Homer Center next week at Homer Center
