“You all played a hell of a game” said Dallas head coach Rich Manello after their 35-12 win over Pittston Area in the opening round of the district 2 class 4A playoffs. The Mountaineers 3-headed monster of quarterback Jackson Wydra, wide receiver Zack Paczewski, and running back Parker Bolesta was just too much for the seventh-seeded Pittston Area.

The game started off as well it could for the Mountaineers after receiving the kick from the 32-yard line, the Mountaineers would put together a long 62-yard drive through the air as Wydra connected with Rocco Ormando and Zach Paczewski several times setting up Dallas in the Pittston Area red zone. Just a few plays later, Parker Bolesta would find the end zone from 2 yards out the extra point was good and with 7.12 left in the quarter, the Mountaineers led 7-0 the quarter would come to a close with Dallas on top 7-0.

Both teams defenses would step in the second quarter, but the Mountaineers would manage to get the lone score of the quarter when with 5.25 on the clock facing a 3 and 11 from the Dallas 11-yard line Jackson Wydra would connect with Zach Paczewski on an 89-yard bomb that gave the mountaineers a 14-0 lead. Pittston would get a chance to score before the half ended by having a huge drive that fell just 1 yard short as Drew Delucca was stopped at the 1-yard line and both teams went into the half with Dallas up 14-0.

In the fourth quarter, the Patriots would finally get on the board when their 72-yard drive ended in a Drew Delucca 1 yard touchdown run with 11.24 now making the score 28-6 Dallas.
