Why did you choose football?

In 9th grade I had to pick whether I wanted to focus on football or basketball. I ended up choosing to play football because I had heard about the success and brotherhood of our football program. It ended up being the greatest decision I ever made.

What is your favorite football memory?

Winning the state championship was amazing, especially with the guys I have been playing with since the beginning.

What non-football accomplishment are you most proud of?

Earning a 3.8 gpa this year. While it’s not super high, it took a lot of work.

Who is your favorite athletes and why?

Lebron has always been my favorite not only because he’s arguably the greatest of all time, but for the things he does outside of the sport as well.

What has been the most difficult part of offseason training during the pandemic?

We have to limit the amount of people working together at the same time, so it’s tough not being able to practice as a full unit.

What are you most looking forward to about playing in District 7 this year?

We have a lot of new competition in our conference this year, and I look forward to showing what we can do against some of the new teams. We had such an amazing senior class last year that people often forget the talent we retained from last season.

What are your team and personal goals for the season?

Our team goals are to win Wpials and States once again. We have so many great players that can lead the way in order to do just that. Deron Vanbibber, Ian Hansen, Jake Pugh, and Preston Zandier just to name a few.

What’s one thing you hope other players can learn from you?

If you are dedicated and work hard enough, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

What motivates you?

The feeling that there are always people out there working to be better, faster, and stronger than you is always what gets me to train.

How has football developed you as a person?

It developed me a lot mentally, more so in the areas of patience and discipline. It also gave me so many friendships and connections that I never thought I would have.
