The Warriors and Wildcats were sitting at a 7-7 tie heading into halftime, however Central Mountain’s offense stalled in the second half while Montoursville’s scored 21 unanswered to take control of the game. Montoursville’s defense held Central Mountain to just 92 yards of total offense, which ended up being a big part of the win for the Warriors. Montoursville’s offense wasn’t as effective as it had been in weeks past, with Eli Eck completing just 47% of his passes and getting picked off twice, however he did still throw for 127 yards and a touchdown, and added 2 more touchdowns on the ground, however he could only manage 18 rushing yards. The leader of Montoursville’s backfield was Kaden Kleinman, who carried the ball 20 times for 70 yards and a touchdown, which was a new season high for Kleinman in carries. Moore-Stewart did most of his damage in the receiving game, hauling in 7 passes for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns, all of which led the team. While Lewisburg was outgained 528 to 339 in total yards, a large part in their ability to keep it close was their defense picking off Shane Frey three times, with Jaylen Walker coming away with 2 and Patrick Fleck coming away with one as well. Xavier Carter through the air went 12/27 for 177 yards and 4 touchdown passes of his own, however Bloomsburg’s defense also came away with 2 interceptions, including one by Shane Frey late in the fourth quarter that sealed the game. Bucktail with the win ended a 25 game on-field losing streak, as their last win that didn’t come from a forfeit came back on October 6th, 2023 when they beat Elk County Catholic.
