Six different players reached the end zone in a dominate first half Saturday afternoon

DUNMORE- Saturday afternoon at Monsignor Crotti Field at St. Anthony’s Memorial Park, the Dunmore Bucks showed why they are ranked as the sixth ranked team in 6A by pafootballnews.com. Brady McCormick went seven-for-seven passing for 120 yards and three touchdowns in the first half en route to a dominate win 63-7 over Holy Cross.

Dunmore improved their record to 3-0 and outscored their opponents 167-14.

The Bucks got the scoring spree early as speedster Jake Constanzo scored on a 5 yard capping ca three play 21 yard drive to make it 7-0 just 3:34 into the game.

McCormick the connected with Weston Yannone who out-raced the Crusader defenders to the end for a 14-0 with 7:06 left in opening quarter completing a one-play drive.

Constanzo found himself on the receiving end of a 29 yard scoring pass for his second touchdown of the quarter increasing Dunmore’s lead to 21-0 with still 4:47 left in the quarter.

With the Bucks leading 28-0 after the first twelve minutes. Joseph Wolff got the scoring stated in the second quarter with a nine yard run at the 7:45 mark.

The teams entered the locker rooms with Dunmore leading 42-0. Dunmore came out and received the second half kickoff where Wolff returned it 70 yards to the house pushing the lead to 49-0

Carter Boyle and Jake Donahue closed out the scoring for the Bucks. Holy Cross did manage to get on the board with a 29 yard pass from Chase Rutkoski to Luca Berardi with 2:14 left in the contest.

“Team played really hard today. We had an extra day of practice. We have been working hard since August 10 first day f fall camp. We were hyped coming off the bus we were energized coming into this game.” McCormick said after the game.

Dunmore (3-0) will be back home Friday night to face Lake-Lehman (1-2). The Black Nights lost to Riverside 27-13. Holy Cross will be back at home to face (3-0) Montrose Saturday afternoon.
