Franklin & Marshall Rolls Past Westminster, 45-8

New Wilmington – Franklin & Marshall rolled to a 45-8 victory over home-standing Westminster Saturday afternoon.
Despite a rainy, weather-delayed contest, the Diplomats moved to 2-0 after a 31-7 win over Lebanon Valley College last week and another dominant performance Saturday over the Titans.
“Our guys traveled well and brought a ton of energy,” said Franklin & Marshall head coach Michael Phelan. “We have a ton of respect for Westminster and the type of tradition they have here. Any time we can come out here and get a win, it’s special.”
Jadon Prinzivalli completed 14 of 27 passes for 169 yards, while rushing for a team-high 67 yards and accounting for three total touchdowns.
Defensively, Franklin & Marshall limited the Titans to only 182 yards and a lone score after the outcome had been decided, while adding four interceptions.
The Diplomats took their opening drive and went 45 yards in 11 plays, capped by Prinzivalli’s 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

The game then entered a 30-minute weather delay, but it didn’t slow Franklin & Marshall’s momentum, as Anthony Valdez capped a short field with a 5-yard run after a Kyle Checchio interception, and Michael Fleming booted a 38-yard field goal, giving the Diplomats a 17-0 lead at halftime.
Prinzivalli then added a 15-yard run and a 33-yard pass to Jack Harrison in the third quarter, following 55- and 77-yard touchdown drives, putting Franklin & Marshall in front 31-0 after three quarters.
Westminster scored on the opening play of the fourth quarter when Sean O’Shea found the end zone on a 1-yard run. His 36-yard gain set up the score. He ran for a team-high 60 yards while passing for 55.

The Diplomats closed the scoring with touchdown runs by Brett Wolski and Paulus Zittrauer covering 3 and 17 yards, respectively.
