The Avonworth Antelopes get the win over New Castle after a sluggish start. Dimitri Velsaris scored two touchdowns in the second half for the Antelopes. New Castle scored first and early after a big opening play as Marino Graham found Kai Cox on a 9 yard touchdown play. Avonworth tied the game with 5:39 left in the second quarter as four star wide receiver Jaden Jones scored off a screen play. On the following drive, Graham was picked off by Logan Krul and as switched the momentum in favor of Avonworth and put them ahead 13-7. Mason Mobley would find the endzone to get the Antelopes up 20-7 on the opening drive of the second half. But the Red Hurricanes cut the deficit to six as Graham found Cox once again with seven minutes left in the third to make it 20-14. From there on it was all Avonworth, Velsaris scored and the Antelopes kept the New Castle offense in check as the routed to a 34-14 victory. Velsaris had another touchdown in the fourth quarter and the Antelopes improve to 3-1 on the season and will travel to faceoff against Beaver. New Castle falls to 1-3 and will host Aliquippa next Thursday to begin division play in the WPIAL
