Coming off of a loss against Upper St. Clair last week, the Chartiers Valley Colts needed to do something big.

Too open up the second half of the game the colts came out with a touch down from a pass to sophomore, Chace Glover. Once again Franchick took the lead for the colts with a field goal making it 21-17 with just 7:37 left in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter Bethel Parks defense played a major rule in the game after giving the colts lose of yards and pressuring Chartiers Valley quarterback, Owen Weagraff. This caused the colts to kick another field goal by, Franchick, making the score 24-17 colts with 6:41 left in the fourth quarter.
During kick-off for the hawks, Bruckner muffed the ball on the three yard line which caused him to have an 11 yard putt return. This resulted in the Bethel throwing an interception on the colts 36 yard line.

Once again, Novak made a stellar throw to junior, Nate Cirincione at the 50 yard line for a first down. The ball was then caught by, Bruckner at the 13 yard line for another first down for Bethel Park. After an incomplete pass from Bethel and a first down from Nowozeniuk, senior Tyler Miller found the end zone for hawks making it 27-23 and the extra point from Yimin making it 27-23.
After an onside kick from Bethel and thinking that they had recovered the ball, it turned out to be Chartiers Valleys ball at the 46 yard line. The colts then took a knee and let the clock expire with the final score being 27-24 Chartiers Valley.
Stephen Spence told the boys his mindset at the half was that, “We knew that they were going to storm back and we were going to have to fight for four quarters. So our message was just keep fighting, and be ready to play, be ready to line up and do your job.”
Spence will carry this to next training by showing up to practice and preparing as hard as they can, clean up mistakes, getting better and keep moving forward.
Chartiers Valley improves to 2-3 overall.
Next Friday, the colts are on the road to hit up South Fayette at 7pm.
