The Fairview Tigers came into this game having spent the entire last week not only needing to come up with a new offensive game plan, but also with lots of emotions as they knew they were going to be playing without senior leader Caden Oldach, the leading rusher on the team. Oldach, who needed to be rushed to the hospital after last Friday’s game for an emergency calf surgery, is now out for the season.

In an emotional Homecoming night game, Fairview came out on top 39-21 over Conneaut Area out of Linesville in the first game between the two teams since 2017.

In Oldach’s absence, up stepped junior Dylan Hill, who in his first ever game at running back rushed 2 touchdowns on 24 carries and 157 yards, while senior Joey O’Reilly ran for 78 yards and three touchdowns on just 7 carries, and he also finished with five catches for 96 yards and 1 touchdown. Junior QB Cullen O’Connor went 13/17 for 185 yards and 1 TD, and is now 333 yards away from breaking Fairview’s single-season passing yards record set in 2023 by Vinny Campoli.

The Tigers led 39-6 when they took out the 1st team starters, now turn their attention to 2 straight Region games against Corry and Seneca. Fairview (3-2, 2-0 in Region 3) hope to take control of the Region in those two home games, while CASH (1-4, 0-2 in Region 6) have an away game next week against Grove City.
