The Corry Beavers spoiled Fairview’s Senior Night and defeated the Tigers 54-14 in Region 3 play. Corry held Fairview to zero points in the 2nd half, and came into halftime with a big wave of momentum after a goal line stand on the 1-yard line right with around 30 seconds to go.

After Fairview’s Noah Bajek took the game’s opening kickoff into Beaver territory, Corry took back momentum with an interception on the first play from scrimmage and never looked back. On their first offensive drive, Corry scored in just 3 plays, and with 6 minutes left in the first quarter, they already held a 14-0 lead thanks to a 65-yard reception from Lamech Albers and a 19-yard catch in the back corner of the end zone on 4th down by Landon Walizer. Other Corry receiving touchdowns were scored by Nick Scouten and Jackson Lathrop, while Albers, Deion Canady, Parker Savitz and Robert Cummings all scored on the ground.

Fairview scored by way of a 9-yard Javis Nesbitt receiving TD in the 1st quarter and a 4-yard Dylan Hill rushing score in the 2nd quarter.

Corry improves to 4-2, 3-0 in Region 3, while the Tigers drop to 3-3, 2-1 in Region 3. Corry returns home next week for their final home game of the season as they take on Northwestern (1-5, 0-3 in Region 3), while Fairview remains at home and will play Seneca (2-4, 2-1 in Region 3). As things stand, Corry is in sole possession of 1st place in Region 3 with their 3-0 record, and are followed by North East and their 3-1 record, while Fairview and Seneca are tied with a 2-1 Region record each.
