Erie – Cambridge Springs rushed for 349 yards and five touchdowns as the Blue Devils improved to 7-0 on the season.
The Blue Devils’ impressive 2026 campaign continued as they broke open a close game at halftime with three consecutive second-half touchdowns, building a 28-0 fourth-quarter lead.
“I’m proud of these boys for stepping up,” said Cambridge Springs head coach Nate Liberty. “We didn’t have many plays this week due to some new kids in new positions. But we played hard and got the win.”
As he has all year, Wyatt Keem led the ground game with 153 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns as the team attempted only one pass.
“Yeah, this feels great,” Keem said. “A lot of us have worked hard in the offseason, and we had a good win tonight. I’m really proud of our team. They named me captain back in August, and I was very excited about that.”
Iroquois jumped out early, ate up over eight minutes, and drove into the red zone, but turned the ball over on downs at the 14-yard line.
Cambridge Springs then drove 86 yards in 13 plays, and quarterback Dale Smith scored on a 1-yard run early in the second quarter.

The Blue Devils led 7-0 at halftime.
Early in the second half, Jon Daley ran for 25 yards before fumbling at the Braves’ 15-yard line.
Their defense stepped up, forcing the Braves to punt from their end zone, and they took over at the 11-yard line; two plays later, Daley redeemed himself with a 10-yard touchdown run.
Daley ran for 57 yards on seven carries.
Wyatt Keem then capped scoring drives of 60 and 46 yards with 1- and 3-yard touchdown runs, as the Blue Devils surged ahead 28-0 with 9:59 to play.
“Our defense stepped up and played well,” Liberty said. “Iroquois didn’t quit; they played hard, and when we watched film on them all week, we knew we had to get field position, and we were able to do that.”
Iroquois got the scoreboard less than two minutes later when Donovan Berry returned a fumble 61 yards for a touchdown.

After a failed onside kick, freshman Ben Snow scored on an 11-yard run before Braves quarterback Chase Cocolin scrambled 56 yards for a touchdown with 1:02 to play.
Cocolin led Iroquois by completing 11 of 26 passes for 87 yards and an interception, while adding 40 yards rushing.
Both schools are back in action Friday night as Iroquois travels to Mercyhurst University to play Prep, while Cambridge Springs hosts winless Cochranton.
