A game you knew was gonna be good, Roman Catholic vs La Salle. The final score 28-7 with Roman Catholic taking home a victory.

In the first half of the game we saw Roman Catholic set the bar high by making 3 touchdowns before halftime. We could see La Salle was struggled to get a rhythm early on with making little mistakes costing them the first half.

Going into halftime with a score of 21-0 with Roman Catholic leading

After halftime, Roman Catholic kicked off to La Salle. Roman Catholic continued to make some amazing plays, including Haamir Lowry intercepting a La Salle pass and giving Roman Catholic possession at La Salle’s 12-yard line. We also saw Jahmil Hawkins connect on a long pass to Eisa Nealy.

Roman Catholic later had the ball on La Salle’s 30-yard line. Roman Catholic somehow managed to work their way insides of La Salles 20. Were they called the play and another touchdown for Roman made by Tre Montgomery. And an extra kick made by Eli Pollack. Ending the 3rd with a score of 28-0

The start of the 4th quarter with the score being 28-0. La Salle wasn’t giving up, even with Roman’s offense playing super hard. But somehow the explorers managed to get a touchdown. Luke Gordon made the only touchdown for La Salle and an extra kick made by Jackson Laufer making the score 28-7

In the end Roman Catholic scored there 5th consecutive win beating the La Salle Explorers 28-7.

After the game, I had the opportunity to catch up with one of Roman Catholic’s coaches. I asked him how it felt to have his team set the bar high by scoring three touchdowns before halftime. He explained that he told his team never to look at the scoreboard because, as long as the game is still going, the score is still 0–0.

I think that mentality for Roman Catholic really showed during the game because even when they set the bar high going into halftime, they still played their hardest throughout the rest of the game scoring and each player showing what the Roman Catholic football program is.

A win this week for Roman Catholic winning against the explorers we hope to see another victory for Roman next week.
