As fast as the Rovers scored, Nazareth turned around and put another 6 on the board within 20 seconds as Cooper Madson found an open Mason Marinelli to score on a 74-yard reception. Defense for both squads held on the next few possessions. Right before the half, Easton put another 3 on the board with a 22-yard field goal attempt by Greyson Baker, giving the Rovers the lead 17-14 going into the half.
Nazareth received the ball to start the 3rd quarter but quickly punted it away. Easton took over on their own 30-yard line, but a fumble gave the ball right back to Nazareth. Easton’s Justin Cosover came up big with a field goal block, to hold the Easton lead.

The Blue Eagles traveled down field in less than a minute and from the Rover’s 18-yard line, Will Bacolo found a hole up the middle for a touchdown. Easton still held the lead 23-21 to end the 3rd quarter and capitalized on the next possession. Quarterback Zahviay McGurn handed off to Brown who found an opening in the defense and sprinted 55-yards for another touchdown. Easton kicked off to Nazareth, who was ready to respond back, but Madson found Easton’s Amin Fideen at mid-field for an interception. Easton handed the ball back to Brown who punched it in for yet another touchdown taking the Rovers to 37-21. Once Nazareth received the ball back, Will Bacolo went to work. He managed to run the ball in from the 22-yard line and Nazareth converted on the 2-point attempt. Easton controlled the ball the rest of the quarter and won 37-29. Easton goes to 5-5 as Nazareth falls to 8-2 to finish the regular season.
