Coming me off of the bye week, Penn State was looking for some good news. Reports early in the week were that Chase Sowell and Kobe Howard would be a go at wide receiver. But on game day that news never appeared. Both players were listed as unavailable and it left people wondering what this Penn State team would look like. Much has been made about Penn State needing an identity. Well they got one or at least the starts of an identity.

Cam Wallace came in and rushed for 135 yards on 22 carries. Carson Hanson carried for 96 yards and the team as a whole rushed for 270 yards total. It also helped that Rocco becked did not have a bad game, hitting eight different receivers for  175 yards. That total could have been more were it not for two obvious pass interference calls that never happened, but still it looks like Penn State has started to play like a team.  Penn State dominated the Boilermakers for a 31-17 win, their first Big Ten win of the year.

Afterward Matt Campbell was happy with his teams performance. On the fake field goal he said “Thank goodness we’ve got an Aussie, that underhand pitch was pretty sweet.” He stated they are finally starting to look like a “team” that wants to play as a team. Several others talked about the same.
