On October 2, 2026, the Bellefonte Red Raiders delivered a resilient performance on the road, defeating the Bald Eagle Area Eagles 17-10 in overtime in a key Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference contest. Locked in a defensive battle throughout regulation, both teams struggled to gain separation as momentum shifted back and forth under the Friday night lights.
Bellefonte was led throughout the season by standout wide receiver and defensive back Parker Jodon, a versatile playmaker who entered the game as one of the team’s top offensive threats, while Chase Cane, Bald Eagle Area’s dual-threat quarterback and outside linebacker, served as a focal point for the Eagles on both sides of the ball.
When the game moved into overtime, Bellefonte executed when it mattered most, finding the end zone and then relying on a determined defensive effort to seal the victory. The win marked an important conference triumph for the Red Raiders and showcased their poise under pressure against a talented Bald Eagle Area squad in one of central Pennsylvania’s most competitive high school football rivalries.
The Eagles take on Clearfield in their next match up; Bellefonte will have a competitive game against Philipsburg-Osceola.
