Berwick Overcomes Sloppy Start to Defeat Pittston Area 36-17 (Video Highlights)

A strong second half and run game helped the Berwick Bulldogs secure their first win of the season over Pittston Area 36-17. Gavin Galutia had two touchdowns one being a pick six to shift the momentum of the game in favor of the Bulldogs. Quarterback Brady Cleaver ran for two touchdowns as well while Landon Zapata scored the other touchdown for the Bulldogs. Berwick overcame a sloppy first half as they committed 16 penalties and gave up the opening kickoff as Lucas Lopresto took it to the house for the Patriots. Santino Capitano had the Patriots other touchdown on a quarterback keeper from five yards out to give Pittston Area the 14-10 lead at the half. Berwick held the Patriots to only three points in the second half while putting up 26. The Bulldogs improve to 1-1 on the season and will host Wyoming Area next Friday.Pittston Area falls to 0-2 and will look to get their first win at Hanover Area next Friday
