Bulldogs Unleashed: Beth Center Cruises over West Greene

Rogersville, PA – The Beth Center Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0) have been dominating this season, averaging 47 points per game while defensively allowing 16 points per game and find themselves atop of the Tri-County South standings. The West Greene Pioneers (2-3, 1-1) were just another victim in the path of the Bulldogs. Junior running back Enzo Brown has been the engine for the Bulldogs offense with 464 yards rushing with 7 tds thus far on the season, this night was no different as he had another huge game that led the Bulldogs attack accounting for three long touchdown runs of 75 yards in the first quarter, 44 yards in the second quarter, and 54 yards in the third quarter.

West Greene had some success moving the ball, on the first play of the opening drive sophomore quarterback Joel Rizor kept the ball and scampered 41 yards down the sideline to the 8 yard line of the Bulldogs. They were unable to find the end zone and came away with no points. Then another promising drive in the second quarter was thwarted on an interception by Bulldogs senior Cyler Myers. The Bulldogs squandered another scoring opportunity, as they fumbled the ball in the endzone and the Pioneers recovered and took over at the 20 yard line. The Pioneers kept the game close as the score was only 14-0 at the half. However, the Bulldogs were able to continue adding to their lead in the second half and ultimately a induce a running clock.

Beth Center took the kickoff to start the second half and found the endzone where senior fullback Homer Headlee scampered in, on a nice run, from 28 yards out to make the score 21-0. Later in the third quarter Brown found pay dirt again to make the score 28-0. Beth Center wasn’t done yet, mid way through the fourth quarter Myers bullied his way into the end zone from six yards out to make the score 35-0.
Beth Center will look to continue their undefeated run next week as the host the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (1-4, 1-1). West Greene will travel to Washington County for a date with the Avella Eagles (2-3, 1-1).
