CENTRAL DAUPHIN VS. STATE COLLEGE
STATE COLLEGE — State College left little doubt why it is considered one of the top teams in Pennsylvania on Friday night, rolling to a 48-0 Mid-Penn Commonwealth victory over Central Dauphin at Memorial Field. The win improved the Little Lions to 7-0 on the season, while the Rams dropped to 0-7.
Led by quarterback Connor Kulka, who entered the game averaging 182.5 passing yards and more than 223 total yards per contest, the Little Lions offense continued its season-long dominance. Running back Rowan Walker added another weapon to an attack that came into the night averaging 37.8 points and 444.2 yards per game. Meanwhile, State College’s defense turned in one of its best performances of the season, shutting out the Rams and preventing any sustained offensive momentum.
For Central Dauphin, standout running back and linebacker Xaivion Allen, who entered the matchup averaging 130.5 rushing yards per game, was among the few bright spots against a relentless State College defense. Quarterback Tristan Hodgson and receiver Derrick Price also faced a difficult challenge as the Rams struggled to move the ball throughout the contest.
The Little Lions controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing the balanced offense and physical defense that have made them one of the leading contenders in Class 6A. The shutout victory further strengthens State College’s standing atop the conference as it heads into the second half of the regular season.
