Clairton forced to forfeit week 2 game vs Steel Valley

“Clairton High School Football regrets to announce that we will forfeit our game against Steel Valley scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026, due to personnel matters.
The district is committed to handling all personnel matters appropriately and in accordance with district policy and applicable requirements. Because these matters are confidential, we cannot provide additional details. Coach Wade remains our head football coach.
We understand the disappointment this may cause and appreciate the understanding and support of our student-athletes, Steel Valley’s student-athletes, and both communities.
We look forward to continuing our season next week and moving forward together.”

No other information was shared after a phone call to Clairton school district. Clairton will fall to 0-2 while Steel Valley moves to 1-1.
