Under the lights of the home of the Buckskins was a Lancaster-Lebanon league clash between the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado and the Conestoga Valley Buckskins. Protecting their home turf, led by senior Camryn Bair splitting 4 touchdowns evenly on the ground and in the air to secure a 35-14 victory.

The Buckskins elected to receive Friday evening and took full advantage on their first drive. After driving down the field with ease against the Red Tornado defense, senior Camryn Bair rushed in for the score on a zone read to take a 7-0. Following the score, McCaskey failed to move the chains and were forced to punt on their first drive. A common theme this evening is the Buckskins scoring off of Red Tornado empty drives. Starting this trend was senior tailback Jayden Conaway for Conestoga Valley running through tackles and eventually punching in an opportunity from a short punt, extending their lead to 14-0.

Glimpses of last week for McCaskey showed on their next drive. Being just outside the red zone, they were in prime position to crawl back into this and cut the lead in half. However, senior transfer and speedster running back Jahsier Reeves of the Red Tornado continued his fumble troubles through two weeks, recording his third this season thus far. Momentum was entirely in Buckskin control as Camryn Bair collected his third touchdown of the evening at this point, stretching the lead to 21-0.

A few punt exchanges later with 5:40 remaining in the first half is another Camryn Bair score, this time caught by Jayden Conaway on a run-pass-option. 28-0 is the score at this point and despite fumble recovery exchanges, the half opened as the same with the Buckskins leading. Coming out of the half, the Red Tornado orchestrated another strong drive that was halted again by Jahsier Reeve’s frustrating fumble problems, this time on Conestoga Valley’s 3-yard line. A 97-yard drive did not shy away the Buckskins. Within three plays, they found themselves near the 50. Nearing the beginning of the fourth, the Buckskin barrage continued. Quarterback Cameryn Bair wasn’t done yet as he connected with his fellow senior, Anthony Rodriguez to make this one 35-0.

The Red Tornado finally struck the valley as junior Bruszavion Baisch scored a walk-in touchdown to shrink the lead to 35-7. While the final score of the night after a Buckskins punt was not enough for McCaskey, sophomore Wesley Ray sealed the edge for his first career varsity high school points. This score salted this game away by a score of 35-14, as the Buckskins reigned supreme two weeks into the season.
