When did you start playing football?
I started when I was 7 or 8 years old, playing for the Aston A.A Bandits. I played for the next 6 years or so there until I got the chance to play at the middle school. I played 2 years there and have played up at Sun Valley ever since.

What is the best part about playing football?
The best part about playing football is undeniably the friendship and comradery established between you and your teammates. We struggle together and face the lowest of lows, but we also are always joking around and making the best out of our high school experience.

What has been your best memory from football so far?
One of my favorite memories was winning a playoff game in peewee football. I played for the Aston Bandits and we were facing one of big rivals that year: Brandywine. It was a freezing cold day and ice chips flew off our shoulder pads whenever we hit each other. We battled for 4 quarters and it came down to a 4th and goal. We ended up holding them and I remember my entire team running out onto the field to celebrate. One of my coaches held me up in the air and I had never more exhilarated.

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Saquon Barkley. Not only did he grow up in Pennsylvania and play for my favorite college football team, he also happened to be one of the best RB prospects coming out of college the sport has ever seen. He’s quick, shifty, dynamic, and definitely a home-run hitter. His displays in the weight also never fail to astonish me. He’s everything a RB should be and obviously as a RB myself, I want to replicate as much of his game that I can.

Which side of the ball would you consider your better strength, Offense or Defense?
I would consider offense more of my strong suit. I’m more in the smaller side but as a RB, I use that to my advantage to sneak through holes and confuse defenses. And despite my size, I’m very willing to lower the shoulder pads if need be.

Coming off a year with COVID struggles, what do you think this year will be like?
I think this year will be a huge turnaround for football and life in general. The stands should be full again, we won’t have to worry about games being canceled or rescheduled, and I’m anticipating a much longer season than the 4-game one we had last year. I’m very excited for a year of normal.

Favorite play to run?
Dive out of the I formation

Favorite sports movie?
Friday Night Lights, the show is outstanding also.

Favorite class in school?
The Psychology course I took this past year was the most entertaining/interesting class I’ve ever taken. Shoutout Mrs. Mal.

Which opponent on your schedule do you want to play against the most, and why?
I’m most amped for week 1 against the Penncrest Lions. I want to show the league how Sun Valley has come to play this year and how we won’t be the roll over team like we have the past few. I really believe in this new coaching staff and the culture they are implementing. Week 1 is the game we prove that SV football is back.
