Why do you play football?
I grew up around football and have always loved the game. My dad has been a high school coach ever since I’ve been alive. I grew up with a ball in my hand and I love everything about the game. I love the time and preparation that goes into it, and I love the playing under the bright lights in the big moments.

Who is your favorite sports star and why?
Tom Brady is my favorite sports star because he’s not the biggest or fastest but he is so much ahead of the game mentally that he is able to still dominate the game at 40+ years old. I also love the way he competes, he hates to lose and it drives him to be better and to make his teammates better. I try to resemble my game after him.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
There was a 4th and 6 inside the RedZone my sophomore year in the district championship to seal the game, and we ran a mesh concept and my first two reads weren’t there but I was able to stay composed in the biggest moment of the year and move to my next progression across the middle to win the game. Just being the guy in the big moment is something I’ve always prided myself on so to be able to do that on that stage was awesome.

What are your goals for this coming season?
I just want to win. All the stats and all state awards are awesome, but I just want to win with my teammates.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game and why?
Probably the 2016 Rose Bowl between Penn State and USC or my playoff game against Plymouth Whitemarsh last year. Both games were just full of huge momentum shifts. Both super high scoring with tons of big plays. Stands were packed in the playoffs, it was so much fun to be apart. Big games and moments are why we play.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
Remember the Titans. I love that movie, it just shows how much of a team game football is and how sports can bring any group of people together.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
My dad yelling to be smart with the ball, something that has just been drilled into my head. The ball wins games, you can’t score without it and that’s why I pride myself on not turning it over.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
To line up at receiver and run a fade ball.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I love to golf and just have fun with my buddies but that game is a struggle.

What is your favorite football memory to date?
Not just one moment but all the time in the locker room, just building that brotherhood with all my guys is something you just dont get in other sports.

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa
