LET’S GET TO KNOW BEN!

Why do you play football?

I love the competition that football brings and how that competition can drive you to become better every single day.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

I’m most looking forward to seeing my running back score a touchdown after I just blocked for him.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Joel Embiid. He is my favorite because even when he was injured he still played and fought through the injury.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

The play I remember most is one from my sophomore year. The running back was running to the other side of the field and I had to sprint over and block the safety. I hustled to block the safety and the running back ended up scoring in part because of my block. I liked this play the most because it showed me that football is all about effort and if you put in all your effort you will get rewarded.

What was last years season like for you?

Last season went very well for me. I started to really refine my technique and understand how I had to block. I gained a lot of confidence thought out the season which I think helped me progress in the later end of the season.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I want to continue to refine my skills and be the go to blocker for third and short situations.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to visit Beaver Stadium in Penn State.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

My favorite pro team is the Philadelphia Phillies

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

The favorite game I ever watched was when Penn State beat Ohio State in 2016.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

I would would watch the movie Rudy everyday if I had to. In the movie Rudy was constantly looked down on and doubted. No one believed in him, but everyday he worked and worked and worked and eventually all that hard work paid off.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I would love to rush for a touchdown.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is my dad. He always works hard and never complains about anything. He does so much for me and never asks for anything in return.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I enjoy playing video games a lot. It is a nice escape for when life becomes stressful and it brings back a lot of good memories.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory to date is when I played in my schools homecoming game. Seeing the stands packed and everyone cheering was an amazing experience.

What is your favorite play to run?

132 Power

P.F. Chang’s

What is your favorite vacation destination?
