Why do you play football?
I’ve just played since I was a little kid and I can’t imagine a reality where I didn’t play. It’s the best sport around.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Saquon Barkley, he’s one of the best running backs in the league but he still stays humble and is never selfish.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play was my second touchdown run at the end of the Haverford playoff game last year. It was our school’s first home playoff game in about 10 years and it was on Halloween. The atmosphere was just crazy and we were already up, then I got the handoff and the line just created a wide open hole to the endzone, it was a nail in the coffin and it was just from ine of my favorite games.
What was last years season like for you?
It was incredible, we had one of the best seasons in school history and the best one in about 10 years. The type of bond that team had was special. We didn’t reach our ultimate goal but it was still my favorite season of football ever.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goal is to have the same or a better record than last year and make it further in playoffs than just the second round. I would also want to make an SOL-All League team.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
I would say Maxwell Hiller from Coatesville. We played them second round of playoffs last year. He’s highly recruited from what I’ve seen so it wasn’t really a huge shock.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
My favorite game I’ve watched was Super Bowl 52. That showed me one of the greatest underdog stories of all time and it was the team I am a fan of, it was such a crazy game and season, nobody thought that was going to happen at all except Eagles fans.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
The perfect teammate is someone who is willing to do what’s best for the team and just wants to see their teammates succeed also. They are genuinely happy to see their teammate do something well and are happy to help them on advice and work with them to get better.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
It’s such a huge sport in America that a lot of people come to the football games even if they might not have blood in the game. It’s showing out and playing for your town every Friday night, there’s no feeling like it. It also leads us to do football camps and help out with the youth programs.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I’d love to be able to get a kick return, I feel like those are electric and kick return is a fun part of the game.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My mentor is my dad, he played football and was the one to get me into the game in the first place. He’s also just always been there for me and been tough on me when he needed to be because he’s always made me better and helps me keep a good talent.
Preseason Two a Days are:
very tough, but they’re needed very much. I also feel like it helps us get closer as teammates by practicing more together and raise team chemistry.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
My go to is definitely fishing, also something my dad got me into. It’s so calming and it’s just a great time no matter what.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play is probably just a sweep, it’s fun to get in space and try to make a play.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
My favorite vacation destination is Florida for sure. It’s just paradise, a lot of fish, and warm weather, what could get better.
