Doylestown- Lots of cheers and emotions were in the air Friday night for the Central Bucks West football team & with a win over visiting Pennridge, the Bucks collected their fourth straight victory on Friday during senior night. The Bucks (5-3) (4-1) topped the Rams (2-6) (1-4) 27-8 in a hard-fought SOL-National Conference battle. The first quarter came and went with each team not mustering much in the way of points. Both squads seemed to be feeling out what the other was trying to do. Both teams would march into each other’s redzone before being shut out by the opposing defense. The scoring, however, didn’t get underway until halfway through the second quarter. With 6:01 to go West’s SR running back No. 4 Eli Boehm plowed his way through a host of Ram’s players from 4-yards out to take a 6-0 lead.

The Bucks attempted to go for the two-point conversion, but the Rams stopped it from being successful. 47 second later Pennridges’ own SR RB Brennan Fisher scampered 57-yards to the house. After a successful two-point try the Rams took the lead 8-6 with 5:13 to go.

The next few possessions from both sides ended with no points but took up a majority of the remaining minutes of the quarter. At the 1:40 mark senior RB Eli Boehm found himself again 4-yards out from paydirt. He took the handoff and followed his blockers in for his second TD of the half and game. The PAT by SO K No. 23 Ryan Clemens was good and West’s lead which they took into the half was 13-8.

The third quarter, in my opinion was the deciding factor in this game. No points were scored but after exchanging possessions twice, the Bucks took control of the ball and ate up all the time on the clock which they did in 16 plays. The fourth Quarter opened with the Bucks at the 1-yard line and SR QB No. 3 Ganz Cooper’s number was called.
@GanzCooper3 takes it in from 1-yard out. The PAT is good and the lead is extended. With 11:59 to go in the game it’s @westcbfootball 20 @pennridgefb 8 @PaFootballNews pic.twitter.com/i13nvrEHbO

The Bucks lead extended to 20-8 after the PAT from SO K No. 23 Ryan Clemens was good. Pennridge tried to get something going late but was unsuccessful as JR CB Conor McFadden hit No. 6 Jake Holt after he caught the ball and SR DT No. 55 Isaiah Thomas caught the tipped ball and secured the interception. Moments later with 4:18 to go in the game SR QB No. 3 Ganz Cooper’s number was called again.
