Colin O’Sullivan throwing for Five Passing Touchdowns. Djevanni Cerisier and Starling Reaves combined for four with the extra one from Coleman Zamborsky. Upper Dublin took control of the reigns early in the game and would never let go. The offense being an Unstoppable force, The defense bending but never breaking. Upper Dublin’s 35-0 win would be the Cardinals’ third shutout of the year.

Upper Dublin having Great Valley show up next week is a huge jump from this week. All ends of the football were coming up for Upper Dublin. “I think we just did a really great job preparing today they have a really good running back #7 who we were worried about all week who we saw on film on many occasions break lose and that was the focus on defense and Offense was just keep pounding the ball a little bit on the run and let O’Sullivan do his thing with the great set of Wide Receivers we have,” said Coach Strover on the teams plan to success for the game.

Only one play was needed for Upper Dublin to start their path of dominance. With a fumble on the opening play for Academy Park, Upper Dublin could strike within the first Minute and a Half to #2 Cerisier for his first touchdown and #9 O’Sullivan’s first of five. From then on everything went Upper Dublin’s way. O’Sullivan was lucky on his second touchdown pass, #11 Zamborsky bobbled the catch but then pulled it in on a seven-yard Lob. #6 Reaves totaled Seventy-Four yards on his two touchdown catches and showed off the amazing balance staying on his feet for his second one.

“I feel good, we just moving on next week we 0-0 starting off next week,” said Reaves on how he felt about his two touchdown performance. The last touchdown for O’Sullivan came at the hands of Cerisier for his final touchdown of the game. Cerisier took a seven-yard curl route for an additional thirty-one-yard house call to extend Upper Dublin to their final 35-0 score. “I’m just making moves I’m just tryna (sic) score really,” Cerisier would say when questioned about what went through his mind when he caught the ball.

The Offense wasn’t the only side to show up. The defense held Academy Park to a shutout and forcing not one, not two, but four takeaways in a dominating performance. In each of Academy Park’s drives, they would have success while running the ball to #7 Terrence Oliver, but when the run game would get stopped they resulted in passing which was no help at all. Every time the Quarterback stepped back he would either start scrambling for his life or force a throw under pressure which shows how dominant Upper Dublin’s front four is. With a scary front four, linebackers who can cover the flat, and a secondary that can cover anywhere, Upper Dublin’s defense looks to have solidified Upper Dublin as the team to beat in District 1.

“Yea I mean honestly they’re a really good team, we were talking all week that they’re not a 16-seed team so we wanted to come out here and punch them in the face and set the tone in District 1 that we were not playing around,” O’Sullivan said when inquired about how his performance helps the motivation for the team and himself.

“Same thing we did this week, we win games Sunday through Thursday with our preparation like we did this week and just come out and having fun on Friday night so just same thing just put in a lot of film work put in a lot of work throughout the week and having fun on Friday night,” O’Sullivan responded when asked about how the team will prepare for next week.

He lastly thanked his O-line the most for his performance  “It’s easy when you can just sit back there and make throws”

Upper Dublin takes on Great Valley next week in hopes to continue this undefeated streak throughout the regular season and into the playoffs. Great Valley coming off a 24-21 win against Upper Moreland proves that GV is a challenging team, but Upper Dublin has shown that they have little to no weaknesses at all. As for Academy Park, seniors sadly played their last game of Highschool football. As for Juniors and lower classmen, they will hope to bounce back and dominate in the upcoming year.
