Q&A

What made you choose football?

I chose football because it’s always been something I was pretty good at, and it’s a good way for me to let out a lot of anger and built up emotions.

What’s your favorite football memory?

My favorite football memory is all of the bus rides after big wins when the whole team is happy.

What activities do you enjoy outside of playing football?

Outside of school, I like to ride four-wheelers and working on my farm.

What non-football accomplishment are you most proud of?

My favorite non-football accomplishment is making honor roll every year.

Who is your favorite athlete, and why?

My favorite athlete is Saquan Barkley. I love his energy on and off the field even when the team is down and not doing very well. He’s there to keep everyone up and give it his all every play.

What has been the most difficult part of training during the pandemic and how did you overcome it?

The most difficult part about training during the pandemic is having to work out and train by myself. There’s nobody around to keep the energy up except for me, and there’s nobody around to compete with.

Do you prefer offense or defense?

I prefer defense because I love to hit.

Who is your biggest role model?

My biggest role model is my dad. He always tells me about how good he was and how good his high school team was back when he played, and it pushes me because I want to be able to tell my kids someday how good my team was and how good I used to play.

What are your parents most likely to yell from the stands?

My parents would probably be screaming, “Go get him, Cole!” from the stands.

What are your team and personal goals for the season?

My team goals are to win the region then give it our very best in playoffs and maybe catch some wins. Another team goal is 3 shut-outs this year. My personal goals are to be an all-district player and be a player of the week a few times.

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would you choose?

If I could have dinner with three people, it would be Sean Taylor, Saquan Barkley, and Pat Tillman.

What hobby do you have that might surprise people?

My family owns a farm, and I work on it, driving tractors and working in the fields.

What’s your favorite sport, other than football, to play or watch?

My favorite sport to watch/play besides football is basketball.

What is one thing you hope other players can learn from you?

The only thing I hope other players learn from me is to love and respect the game of football and what it can do for someone.

The Blind Side

Science

What music do you listen to?

I listen to mostly country and rap music.
