Q&A

What made you choose football?

When I was younger, I lived across the street from the Wilmington Football field. Seeing the stadium and the players come and go daily, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the Wilmington football family.

What’s your favorite football memory?

Walking on to the field in Hershey Park Stadium as a sophomore starter to play for a state championship.

What activities do you enjoy outside of playing football?

I enjoy playing basketball and baseball when I’m not at football. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

What non-football accomplishment are you most proud of?

Being selected as a Peer Mentor at my High School by my teachers and peers.

Who is your favorite athlete, and why?

JJ Watt is my favorite athlete. He is my favorite athlete because he is a great person on and off the field. I also like that he is very family-oriented like I am.

What has been the most difficult part of training during the pandemic, and how did you overcome it?

The hardest part for me has been not being able to train in person with my teammates. Although, we have been able to do online workouts using zoom. I have made the most of the training by being creative and including my siblings.

Do you prefer offense or defense?

As long as I’m on the field, I love what I’m doing.

What are your parents most likely to yell from the stands?

Get him, Wes!

What are your team and personal goals for the season?

My team goal is to win states! My personal goal is to be a team captain and have the most helmet stickers at the end of the season.

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would you choose?

The three people I would like to have dinner with are Dwayne Johnson, JJ Watt, and my Great Grandfather.

What hobby do you have that might surprise people?

I love to fish!

What’s your favorite sport, other than football, to play or watch?

My favorite sport to play other than football is basketball.

What is one thing you hope other players can learn from you?

I hope other players can learn from my discipline and consistency.

What does Wilmington need to do to make another trip to Hershey?

To get to Hershey, Wilmington needs to stay healthy and consistent.

What is your favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is The Flash.

What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie is Friday Night Lights.

What is your favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject in school is math.

What music do you listen to?

I listen to all types of music from rap to country.
