Coach Says: Dominic has been the starting quarterback for us over the past 2 seasons. This past season he eclipsed the 1,000 yard passing mark for the first time in almost 20 years. Defensively he lead the team in interceptions last season and we will be looking for him to help solidify our passing defense. He continues to be a leader on the field and we are looking for some solid play form him this season.
Why do you play football?
Because ever since I was a kid it’s been apart of my life and I was always surrounded by it. I loved watching it on tv and in person on Friday nights. I just really appreciate the sport and how fun it can be.
It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?
Playing with my brothers on a warm Friday night and smelling the concession stand food cooking. It’s one of the best feelings in the world to go out and win for your school and community but most importantly my brothers.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Definitely Fernando Mendoza because coming up he didn’t have many stars or zero stars coming up in college and he didn’t think he would play D1 football. So he worked up his way through the College Football realm and now he won a national championship. But his perseverance is what really made him a good leader and he is humble about his work.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
It’s my sophomore season and we’re playing Farrell which was a team who was a state runner up the year before. We have a decision to make and go for two or kick the extra point for overtime. They call quarterback lead right under center. We call hike and I go and at first I get stuck at the 1 yard line but I reach the ball over while being swarmed by defenders and score the two points to give us the lead with 50 seconds left. We ended up winning and upsetting a team that we should’ve lost to.
What was last years season like for you?
Good it was the first year in 15 years to have a quarterback throw over thousand yards because we were a wing t offensive and switched like two years ago
What are your goals for this coming season?
To win the D10 Championship
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Kelvin Morrison from Hickory and he is a talented running back
When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?
Bill Billecheck because he’s been in some many of those situations and just how he always pulls it out at the end
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
Texas Longhorns game. So im a big Penn state fan but also I wanna see a SEC game and Texas has Arch Manning returning so I would like to see a game that he will be playing.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Penn State football and Cincinnati Bengals because as a kindergartener I’ve always liked the bengals with Andy Dalton and AJ Green
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Los Angeles Tams vs Chiefs 2018 because it was such an offensive game and it was fun to see so many athletes on the field playing their hardest and having fun with it
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
Probably We are Marshall because they have some many problems and have to rebuild their team after that tragic problem.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
Let’s goo Dom and/or let’s go blue or white depending on if we are away or home
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Play in the NFL and because my size is just not the fit of NFL players
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
Fernando Mendoza because he was humble and had nothing to begin with football luck and he just had great skill
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Hockey because I can’t skate
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Corvette
