McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Classic Goes to Gold Squad 24-21
NAZARETH- Typically All-Star games are not usually a physically contested affair. On Thursday night at Nazareth’s Andre Leh Stadium, that scenario did not lack hard-hitting action as the Gold team defeated the Red team 24-21 in the McDonald’s Lehigh Valley All-Star Classic.
Led by the tandem of quarterback Cole Transue and receiver Zack Gillen hooked up a half dozen times for over 200 yards and a huge scoring pass from 70 yards at the 4:30 mark in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory. The tandem also hooked up for a 35 yard score in the third quarter to make it 17-0.
