Bethlehem Catholic defeats East Stoudsburg North to move on in playoffs 42-7
It was an unusually warm Halloween night in Bethlehem at BASD Stadium. Bethlehem Catholic won the toss and selected to receive the ball. Becahi decided to start off hot and ended their first drive with a tough 25-yard TD Run by Jeziah Gregory. East Stroudsburg North’s (ESN) first drive resulted in a blocked Punt by Robert Cousar. The drive following the blocked punt Cayden Vassa takes the ball in from the 1-yard line.

In the 2nd Quarter Becahi kept adding gas to the fire. Cayden and Carter Vassa Combined for 3 touchdowns. Cayden has a 1-yard run. While Carter took a run to the left 40 yards while tip toeing the sidelines for Six. The 2 decided to pair up with the 3rd, Cayden passed to Carter for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 0:15 seconds on the clock. ESN couldn’t really get the ball moving in the 2nd quarter. Becahi’s defense allowed 0 point in the half.

The mercy clock was running in the 2nd half and so were the teams. The half was uneventful besides a few key plays. There was a 2-yard touchdown run by Axel Burkart with 1:47 left in the 3rd quarter. With 5:46 left in the 4th quarter James Barbera ran 6 yards to avoid the shutout. Final Score Bethlehem Catholic – 42 ESN – 7.
ESN closes the season 4-7.
Becahi (5-6) will go on to face Lehighton (5- 6) At BASD Nov. 7th at 7PM.
