Parkland Takes down Northampton
The Atmosphere was crazy at Al Erdosy Field in Northampton for the matchup of Parkland vs Northampton. Parkland was in bounce back mode a week after losing to Freedom. Northampton is coming in undefeated. Parkland took their opening drive down to the 10-yard line. TJ Lawrence ran the ball in for the first score. Northampton missed a short field goal later in the 1st quarter. Second quarter Parkland takes the ball down to the Northampton one, the next play Reid Andrush plows in for the score to make it 14 – 0. Parkland would hit a 20-yard field goal later in the 2nd quarter. They held Northampton to a shutout in the first half 17-0.
The 2nd half started slow; 3rd quarter both teams were held scoreless. The 4th quarter provided some more action. Parkland was punting and the punt hit a player in the back that was on the ground. 2 plays later Gavin Taff Takes the ball in for a Northampton touchdown. Parkland added a Naquan Thomason score. Missed PAT made it 23-7. With 8 seconds left Billy Struhldreher takes the ball in. Parkland takes the win. Final Parkland – 23 Northampton – 14.
