Schuylkill League teams square up in the ring on Media Day at Fighter’s Heaven !

On Wednesday August 10 2022, Fighter’s Heaven in rural Deer Lake, Pennsylvania hosted the 19th Annual Media Day for the 16 Schuylkill League teams. Things were started off with Schuylkill Haven Head Coach and league President, Mike Farr stepping into the ring to remind us what Schuylkill League football has become in recent years, ” our brand of football is definitely on the map ” around the state of Pennsylvania Farr would say. Coach Farr would also go on to say how Muhammad Ali’s, Fighter’s Heaven Camp was a great venue to hold Media Day. The history that went on here, how special this place is, how many many many great champions came to train here. If you have never been to Fighter’s Heaven, I definitely recommend checking it out sometime.

Williams Valley Head Coach, Tim Savage was in awe of everything at the site as this was his first time visiting. He too couldn’t get over all the legends that once came to this beautiful place to train. Just some of those names include Sonny Liston, Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey and many more as the photo gallery below will show. Maybe we can get Coach Savage to talk more about his experience this weekend on Sunday during his time on the PaFootballNews 2022 Season Rollout-Coaches Cookout LIVE show from Mr. G’s Sports Bar in Harrisburg, Pa at 3745 North 6th. St.
