Why do you play football?

Cade: I play football because it allows me to be a part of something greater than myself which is my team and it helps me to escape from stresses and troubles I may have.

What has been your best memory from football so far?

Cade: My best memory from football is winning in overtime against Pitt Central Catholic in the 2019 PIAA state playoffs.

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

Cade: My favorite pro athlete is Kobe Bryant because of the way he approached the game mentally, tirelessly worked to get better, and dominated in his career. Most importantly, however, was how he was able to use his platform to help so many people and shape his legacy.

Who is your biggest fan and why?

Cade: My dad is my biggest supporter because he has been pushing me and by my side, every step of my journey, whether as a coach or a sideline fan. He encourages and motivates me to keep working hard and never be complacent.

Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model? 

Cade: My older brother, who rows crew for Drexel University, has been someone who I aspire to be like and better than.

What is your desired major in college?

Cade: I am unsure of what my major will be in college, it depends on what senior year classes I find more interesting. I am between something like economics and business or engineering.

What are some team goals for this upcoming season?

Cade: Our team goals going into the season are the same they have been for years prior: go undefeated, win the state championship, and win the national championship.

How has COVID-19 affected you?

Cade: COVID-19 has hindered me from attending football camps for college recruitment and has stopped my team from practicing together in our usual competitive way. This pandemic, however, has also enabled me to be more creative with my workouts and has not diminished my drive or work ethic.

Favorite play to run?

Cade: Power

What is your personal goal for this season?

Cade: Personal goals I have for this season are to be a leader and win a state championship.

Favorite pre-game meal?

Cade: buttered pasta, water, and Pedialyte.

Sports movie?

Cade: Either Friday Night Lights or When the Game Stands Tall.

Sport you’d love to play but can’t?

Cade: I’d love to be good at golf or swimming.

Is a hotdog a sandwich?

Cade: yes

Favorite activities?

Cade: workout, play videos games, and eat.
