Vance is a returning all public league receiver who will finish his HS career as a 4-year varsity starter. Coach Rich Drayton states “Vance will be a two-way starter this year and will make a huge impact in all 3 phases of the game”.
Why do you play football? I play football because my dad played & I just love the physicality of the sport.
Current GPA? 2.10
What if any offers/interest do you have currently? Currently I have no offers or interest.
What do you plan to major in upon entering college? I plan on majoring in kinesiology.
Favorite class? Algebra
Favorite athlete of all-time & why? Calvin Johnson just because he was such a freak athlete.
Favorite moment of your HS career thus far? Me taking my first kick return ever for a 90 yard touchdown.
How was the 2022 season for you? My 2022 season was pretty upsetting for the most part, I had some good games but I didn’t end the season how I wanted.
2023 individual & team goals? My individual goals are to have 17 or more TDs along with 600+ receiving yards. As a team we want to go 1-0 every week and win our division.
Favorite all-time football game to watch? The 2013 Iron bowl (Auburn v Bama) notably for the kick 6 return.
Favorite meal? Chicken Alfredo
Favorite play to run & why? A tunnel screen because I like to set the defense up and run with the ball in my hands.
What are your hobbies outside of sports? Outside of sports I mostly go to school & sleep.
What is your biggest fear? My biggest fear is being a failure
Who is the most influential/inspirational person in your life? My high school coach/uncle who is always guiding me to be better as a football player & also as a young man.
Pre-game music favorites? I have a whole pregame playlist consisting mainly of Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi & Gunna.
Favorite teammate? My best teammate would have to be Robert Martin because every day we were at practice there was always competition
Did you play little league football? If so for what organization? I played for the West Oak Lane Wildcats
What should people know about Central HS and the football program? People should know that our school is very diverse and not only is the school great academically but people who graduate from Central come out a way better person than when they first got to Central.
