LET’S GET TO KNOW NIGEIR

Why do you play football?

I play football because I’ve always had a passion for the game since I was young.

What is your current GPA?

My current GPA is 3.0

What do you plan to major in upon enrolling in college?

My only interest currently is psychology, other than that I don’t have one.

Favorite class?

Biology & French

Favorite athlete of all-time?

My favorite athlete of all-time is Lebron James because of the way he is able to always be mentally locked in despite all the pressure and criticism he gets & still be able to play his sport at a high level.

Favorite moment of your HS career thus far?

My favorite moment this school year was the first-time stepping foot on the field/court.

What was the 2022 season like for you?

The 2022 season was iffy only because I joined a little late, but I still managed to work hard and earn a starting spot.

2023 individual & team goals?

My individual goal is to get faster, stronger & to develop a unbreakable mentality. My team go is to be the best teammate I can be and to uplift those around me and not bring them down.

All-time favorite Football game to watch?

Alabama v Tennessee 2022 as my favorite college receiver Jaylin Hyatt went crazy & had 5 TDs. Or the Packers v Cardinals in 2015.

Favorite Meal?

None

Favorite play to run & why?

My favorite play to run is quick cross because slants are my favorite inside route & it causes a lot of confusion for the defense so it’s going to be tough for the defense to stop it.

Outside of sports what are your hobbies?

Reading, sleeping, mindfulness & binge watching.

What scares you the most?

Not reaching my full potential & not taking risks.

Most inspirational person in your life?

Jesus Christ is the most inspirational person in my life.

What pregame music do you listen to as you prepare for games?

A lot of tame impala

Best teammate and why?

I’m not picking favorites, but my best teammate is Cierr Floyd because we are both always uplifting each other and when I first started playing HS football, he was the first one to actually teach me about it and guide me in some ways.

Did you play little league football?

No, I didn’t play little league football.

What is something folks should know about the Kensington High School Football program?

They should know that hte players are very disciplined, uplifting from my own personal experience seeing how they really focus and dial in on the workouts or the drills that’s happening and bringing each other up after someone messes up. The coaches are very determined, collected, disciplined and fun to be around. They are very set on the team being the best and everyone not playing around and actually working but you can also have a good, fun time with them.

Cheesesteak or Hoagie and what shop has the best sandwich?

Hoagies all the way and City View has the best hoagies although I have never had a cheesesteak.
