Khalid returns for his junior season with high expectations. As a seasoned veteran he will be looked upon to be a leader for the MLK defense and a coach on the field for HC Malik Jones. In addition to being an all-league football player Khalid also doubles as an all league honoree wrestler. He finished his sophomore season on the mat 31-10 including a PL heavy weight title.

Why do you play football?

I play football because my brother whom I watched play the game my entire life & I just wanted to be like him.

Current GPA?

2.63

What are your plans after graduating high school?

Hopefully go on to play college football.

I currently hold offers from Division 1 programs Bowling Green State University & University of Akron

Favorite athlete of all time?

My brother because without him wouldn’t even be interested in sports.

What is your favorite moment of your high school career thus far?

When we beat Frankford in round 1 of the playoffs. The entire team was hype because we basically shocked the city as nobody outside of our team expected us to win.

What was the 2022 season like for you and your team?

It was amazing, I got better at my position & bonded more with my teammates.

What are your 2023 goals individually and for your team?

Individually my goals are 100+ tackles on defense & make all state.  Teamwise my goals are to win the public league championship & then follow up with a state championship.

All-time favorite football game to watch (HS/College/Pros)?

2017 Super Bowl with the Eagles defeating the Patriots.

Favorite restaurant to dine? 

I’d have to say either Olive Garden or Ihop

Favorite play to run? 

I’d have to say any play where I’m blitzing, it’s just something about being in the trenches that I love.

Hobbies outside of football? 

I love to read.

What scares you the most?

Not being able to play football anymore.

Most inspirational person in your life? 

My mother & brother

What was your favorite childhood gift? 

Receiving my first gaming system which was the good ole Xbox 360.
