In a close contest on Saturday afternoon, Boys Latin Charter benefited from an errant field goal attempt in the waning seconds, to win 14-12 over host Frankford. The Pioneers had driven down field on their final possession, to setup the short field goal attempt. But, it sailed wide right.

The game started with some offensive fireworks. Boys Latin scored on a 40 yard TD run by QB Seth Cobb. But, Frankford answered quickly with a 48 yard TD pass to Nadir Mitchell (correction from earlier tweet shorthand being wrong, and #s on the roster being wrong). The PAT kick was no good. Which led to a halftime stalemate, 6-6.

In the third quarter, Andre Patterson had a short TD run, but the conversion attempt was a short run to the right side that went out of bounds short of the endzone. Boys Latin Charter then answered quickly, with just 1:10 left in the 3rd, on a 5 yard TD run by Cobb, again. The pass from Cobb was good to take the 14-12 lead. A lead that would hold up through the fourth quarter.

Boys Latin Charter would finish their season at 3-2, while Frankford has one more game remaining, a Friday afternoon contest against West Philadelphia while sitting at 1-3
