Neumann-Goretti would ride the stout defensive front as they set up shop in the West Catholic backfield most of the first half. #5 would score from 17 yards out. In the second, Kevin Thomas would get a 5 yard TD pass. Followed quickly by a 32 yard INT return by Solomanie Bambara. West Catholic would finally break onto the scoring summary with a 6 yard fumble return from Jahlil Johnson after being stopped in the redzone. Shawn Battle would get a 65 yard TD run in the third quarter to extend the lead to 26-8. Two safeties in the fourth would seal things, while a 44 yard free kick recover and score by Battle would ice the game.
