If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
Lead. As quarterback of a program that is building its own winning culture, I need to lead. Despite the fact that I was only a freshman or sophomore playing with upperclassmen, so needed to inspire my teammates with my words, body language, and actions.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
I air-balled my first varsity basketball shot. That has to be the most embarrassing thing, but it could only get better from there.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My grandfather. He shows up to all of my games and football practices. Even OTAs or two-a-days, he’s watching from the driver’s seat in his red pick-up truck.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Studying. As a student-athlete and current valedictorian, I try to manage my time to the best of my ability. Maintaining high grades and high performance is not a simple task, but I’ve learned to embrace the grind.
