Why do you play football?
Ryan: I play football because of the many valuable lessons that are learned while playing football and also because of the bond it creates between you and your brothers on the field.
What has been your best memory from football so far?
Ryan: Beating Lackawanna Trail week 1 of the 2019 season because nobody believed we could beat them.
Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Ryan: Christian McCaffrey, because he’s undersized, but it doesn’t stop him from being an animal on the field.
Who is your biggest fan and why?
Ryan: My whole family to be honest. They’ve all supported me playing football for the last 8 years and made it to every game without missing one.
Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?
Ryan: My grandfather because he works 5 days a week and puts the food on the table for everybody else while also putting everybody’s needs and wants in front of his own.
What is your desired major in college?
Ryan: Biology
What are some team goals for this upcoming season?
Ryan: 8+ wins, state playoffs, state championship.
How has COVID-19 affected you?
Ryan: Covid-19 has affected me by taking a few months away from me and my team that could’ve been used for more preparation for this season.
Favorite play to run?
Ryan: Fake to the running back then keep it and run.
What is your personal goal for this season?
Ryan: 750+ rushing and passing yards with a minimum of 15 touchdowns combined on offense and at least 80 tackles with 3 interceptions on defense.
Favorite pre-game meal?
Ryan: Two ham sandwiches with mayo.
Sports movie?
Ryan: Gridiron Gang
Sport you’d love to play but can’t?
Ryan: Lacrosse
Favorite activities?
Ryan: Playing pickup basketball, playing the game, and eating.
