Why do you play football?
I play football because I’m in love with the sport. I started as a Freshman and never looked back. It has brought me a bunch of great opportunities as well, so I’m very fortunate for that!
What has been your best memory from football so far?
My best memory so far is a one-handed catch in the back of the end zone my Sophomore year. It was special to me because that was the first time in program history we beat that team and I had the opening touchdown.
Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?
Kevin Durant is my favorite pro athlete. I say that because he doesn’t care about the hate he gets, he goes onto the court every night and lets his game talk.
Who is your biggest fan and why?
This has to go to my whole family. They have all been very supportive throughout this process. Whether it’s my mom and dad driving me to camps, or my grandparents always giving great advice and teaching me new things.
Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?
Tom Brady is a great role model. He started from the bottom and had no attention and make his way to the very top while still being the most humble player ever.
What is your desired major in college?
I am a huge science guy so I am definitely interested in Biology or pre-med.
Favorite play to run?
Right 36 power. I come down on a nasty double team and pancake whoever is in front of me.
What is your personal goal for this season?
My goal for this season is to win the district championship. We always have good teams in our district but we believe we have the fastest and most physical program.
Favorite pre-game meal?
The mothers of the football team always make us a great pre-game meal. I might have to go with the chicken tenders and pasta.
The Blind Side. It proves that no matter where u started, you can always finish on top if you put in the right work.
Sport you’d love to play but can’t?
Golf. I stink at it now but I have to get good before I get old. I need something to keep me busy when I’m retired.
Most embarrassing sports moment?
I was punting in a game against Lakeland and CJ Dippre had other ideas. He had a great block and he also shoved me to the ground to pick up the loose ball. I was new to the game that year and he was a beast.
What are you looking forward to most this year?
Just to go under the Friday night lights and ball out with my hometown family and friends one last time!
I’m always doing something outside. Whether it’s sports or just hanging out with the boys on a weekend I find myself outdoors. I also like to eat A LOT.
