Why do you play football?
I love what I get out of the sport. That includes the friends I’ve gained along the way, the life lessons I’ve gained from it, and that it has made me grow both mentally and physically stronger.
Who is your favorite sports star and why?
Peyton Manning because he is a great leader, and he is a winner.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play was from my first varsity game ever. At the time, I was a sophomore. It was a home season opener against West Side, and it was on TV. On the first defensive series of the game, I sacked the QB on a 3rd down which caused a punt. Later that night I found out it was named the defensive play of the game, and it was a feeling I will never forget.
What are your goals for this coming season?
My goals for this season are to make the playoffs, be a great leader for my team, and hopefully get a scholarship to play at the next level.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Denver Broncos
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game and why?
My favorite game was against Scranton HS my junior year. It was an away game, and our high school had not won a game at that stadium in over a decade. This game was also on TV. We went out on the field that night and won 27-0. I loved this game in particular because nobody expected us to win, none the less shut them out. That was an experience I will always remember.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
A sports movie I would watch every day would be Remember The Titans. I love this movie because it shows that football is more than just a game. Football brings both players and communities together in a way like nothing else, and this movie displays that perfectly.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
“Get em” -My mom
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like?
I want to be like my grandpa. No matter what, he always put other people first. He looked out for me and my family and taught me so much and I love him for that. He is also the reason I got into football in the first place. For the rest of my life, I will always look up to him as a mentor because he was such an amazing person.
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I would love to play volleyball because spiking it on the other team looks like so much fun, and I also like jumping. I just don’t have the time for it.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
My most embarrassing sports moment was in my junior year in the Scranton game. A piece of my helmet snapped and I panicked; so I ran to the sidelines with a chunk of my helmet missing and stole my friends helmet to wear that didn’t even fit.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My sister Ellie is definitely my biggest fan. She won’t admit it, but she is. She plays softball, and she even copied my old jersey number (81) for her jersey.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
If I’m not training or practicing for sports, my go to activity is playing video games. I enjoy them because it gives me something to do.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
My all time favorite football memory is taking a picture with my grandpa before one of my peewee games. It meant a lot to me because it was the last game of mine he was able to be at, and we ended up winning in overtime which made it even more memorable.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play to run is where I line up at defensive end, and I loop around the d tackle and go into the A gap; and the d tackle slants into the B gap.
What scares you the most?
For sports, I’m most scared of concussions because they hurt a lot, and I would miss games.
Music of choice:
Anything rap
What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?
Wendy’s, Dave’s Double Meal, no onion with cheese, medium fry, medium sprite. Any other answer is unacceptable.
Which one? Sheetz or Wawa
Sheetz
