Coach Says: Jackson is a great student athlete who has worked to become one of the best DBs in the Lackawanna League. Was the only Sophomore to make the All Region Team. Jackson is a threat to score every time he touches the ball and I am glad we don’t have to gameplan for him.

Why do you play football?

I play football because it is a way out, a way out and a reliever of all my problems. I play football because it is humbling. Even when you think you are on top of the world either after a great game or a great win, one singular play can bring you back down in a split second.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star would have to be Jalen Ramsey. I’ve liked Jalen Ramsey since a young age because he always stood out, he carries himself with a different swagger and even though being the best in the league at his position for a while, he still played with a chip on his shoulder.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Yes, it was week one at Carbondale. At the time, I wasn’t really aware of the skills that I have because even at a young age I was never turned to when we needed a play. When my coach called a mid screen to me to end the half I knew I could do something with it. With 10 seconds left from over 30 yards out the guys in front of me blocked great and I made moves to get in the end zone. That play made me realize how good I really am.

What was last years season like for you?

Last year’s season was the most enjoyable and fun season of my life. The bonds that our team created and going out to eat on Monday’s after film was truly an unmatched experience.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals for this upcoming season are to have over 1000 yards receiving and win a second district championship.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

The best player I’ve ever lined up against was James Webb of Lansdale Catholic.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

The district championship game was my favorite game I’ve ever played in. It was a rivalry game between us and Dunmore with rain falling, everyone slipping, and all of us coming together and grabbing the rope each play to come out with the win.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

The perfect teammate is someone who is hard working, someone you can look towards when your going through a rough time, and someone who will give you an honest person, who is not afraid to speak up and point out when your slacking.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football is good for a community because it unites everyone in the community, not just the younger group of fans but it also gives the older folks a reason to get out of the house and a reason to look forward to Friday night.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

I’d love to kick an extra point.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor would have to be my brother, me and my brother are 6 years apart. Ever since we were young he has been the scholar and has been the athlete. When my brother broke 1,000 yards rushing that made me very proud of him but doing that he woke up something in me. Not only do I want to be like him, I want to surpass him and be better than him. Even when I do pass him off I know he’ll be very proud of me and that’s my he’s my mentor.

Preseason Two a Days are:

An amazing time to be alive.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I’d say my go to activity is hanging with friends and fishing. Being able to relax and tell jokes with my boys passes the time so quick and gets my mind off of sports.

What is your favorite play to run?

My favorite play to run is mid screen because it’s like iso in basketball and I get to run around make plays and find the open holes.

Music of choice:

Country

Best pizza topping?

Pineapple

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Although I’ve never been there, I’d love to go to Hawaii.
