Scranton Prep waited 736 days to exact revenge on Wyoming Area and did with hard does of payback with a dominating 28-0 victory over Wyoming Area as they held the Warriors to just 123 yards of total offense.

Prep would receive the opening kickoff and go to work from there. The Wyoming Area defense would step up on Prep’s first drive forcing the Cavilers to go for it on fourth down twice. The Cavilers would face another fourth down later in the drive, but could not convert as Joe Marranca came up with the sack that gave the Warriors the ball from the 5-yard line. The Warriors weren’t able to do anything on their first drive as it ended with an interception by Robert Mcguire. The Cavilers would get the offense going and Montgomery led Prep downfield. Several plays later Sean Monahan would run it from 33 yards out with 3:29 left on the clock to give Prep a 7-0 lead. The Warrior’s next drive would be another 3 and out,  and the Cavilers would once again march downfield to the Wyoming Area 18-yard line as the quarter ended with the cavilers up 7-0.

The Cavilers would score on the first play of the second quarter when London Montgomery ran it in from 18 yards out to give the Cavilers a 14-0 lead with 11: 53 left on the clock, The Cavaliers would strike again just 4 minutes later when Sean Monahan would connect Robert Rossi on a 37-yard touchdown pass that gave the Cavilers the 21-0 lead with 7:38 left in the quarter. The Cavilers stingy defense would continue to shut down the Warriors. They forced a fumble on one of Wyoming Area’s better drives, and the Cavilers went into halftime with a 21-0 lead.

Both teams would exchange possessions in the third quarter multiple times as both defenses came ready to play. But the Cavilers would put icing on the cake with 1:57 left on the clock when Blaise-Sokach Minnick pass intended for Leo haros was intercepted by Robert Rossi who returned it for 42 yards for the pick-six giving Prep the 28-0 lead as the quarter came to a close

The Warriors would try to avoid the shutout late in the fourth quarter when Blaise -Sokach Minnicks pass to Nico Sciandra set up the Warriors on fourth and two, but on the very next play Minnicks pass was incomplete to Jaden Rusyn and the Cavilers would run out the clock for the rest of the game as when the horn sounded the Prep faithful went nuts.

Scranton Prep (11-0) will play Wyomissing (13-0)
