Head Coach JD Okuniewski says “Dean has been phenomenal all off-season. I had to convince him to go on his family vacation in June. He did not want to be away from the team. He is locked in a laser focused right now”.
LET’S GET TO KNOW DEAN
Why do you play football?
It really has changed my life. Football has led to so many opportunities and shaped me into the young man I am today.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Aaron Rodgers. I love his swagger and his confidence. He is someone I really look up too.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Sophomore year, it was our Hoco game, we were on the 40 going to the endzone, right hash. We were in a 2×2 set and we had a vertical by the #1 receiver all the way to the left. I saw he was getting pressed and he was our best receiver so pre snap I knew I was going to him, i let it rip, took a huge shot to the ribs, and he caught it, diving catch in the end zone.
What was last years season like for you?
It was challenging, but not everything in life is all sunshine and rainbows, so we have to pick it up and play together.
What are your goals for this coming season?
To have fun. I want to enjoy playing the game of football with my friends.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
Green Bay packers. I love there rich history.
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
Nothing. I’m just controlling what I can control.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
A good teammate is someone who you can trust, in all aspects, not only on the field but off the field.
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
It brings the whole community together on a Friday night.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
Rob Flowers. He has had a positive impact on so many lives. I absolutely love what he does.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My grandfather. He always believes in me, no matter what.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Spending time with my friends and family. Enjoying the moment.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Sophomore year, 3rd game of the season, we played garden spot, I threw for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns. That was my 2nd varsity start of my career.
What is your favorite play to run?
Depends on the defensive alignment. If the box is light, we could hit them with a counter, if the box is loaded, we are going to air it out.
is a hot dog a sandwich?
No. If it was a sandwich it would be called a sandwich.

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?
A tap on the helmet and he said “you got this”. It was my first start of my hs career and I was super nervous.
Best Pizza topping?
Pepperoni
Which one? Sheetz or Wawa
Wawa, better selections.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
The beach.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
Watching our HS team when I was a young kid.
