Coach Bob Boden says “Mark is a tremendous athlete. He is one of the best, if not the best, QBs in the history of our school. He is tough to defend as he threatens defenses as both a runner and a passer. One of the few players in the state with over 1000 yards rushing and 2000 yards passing. Very explosive. Also a 3 year starter as a punter”.

Why do you play football?
Learn how to be a good teammate and hard worker, fighting by the side of my friends and learning how to be a better person on and off the field.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Lamar Jackson- he proves that you don’t have to just be a pocket passer to play the position
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Most likely the play against Middletown where I scrambled in and out a few times and threw it to Ian Goodling and the crowd went absolutely crazy
What was last years season like for you?
It was a blessing and opportunity that I had so much fun with, I enjoyed playing with my friends and experiencing some memorable moments
What are your goals for this coming season?
Go undefeated and winning the State Championship
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Taje Brody
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
None in particular but maybe a Georgia Football Game
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
The Baltimore Ravens
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Alabama and Georgia just because of how good both teams are
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
Just keep working harder and let it all come together
Describe what the perfect teammate is
Someone who is quiet and calm but leads the team and holds people accountable. Someone who acknowledges someone is having a bad day and helps them out
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
Football is good for the community because it shows the heart swear and tears that are poured into a game that’s played with each other, it allows people to understand what coming together is really all about in a world full of diversity
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Win the State Championship
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I don’t wanna be like anyone else but myself, I love my dad and probably would choose him as my role model because he has pushed me to be the person and athlete I am today
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
Probably the rolling out and throwing drill with Coach Ream- he is another huge reason I am the player I am today as well

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My biggest fan is honestly my girlfriend to be truthful- she has brought me closer to God and has dug me out of some hard times that I didn’t think I would get out of.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Lifting Weights and Spending Time with the people I surround myself with because it allows me to open up my thoughts and emotions
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Hearing the crowd go wild on my fake punt
What is your favorite play to run?
To secret to tell, most likely a play action.

Sure why not? As long as it’s in a bun
