LET’S GET TO KNOW JACK

Why do you play football?

I’ve always had a love and passion for the game. I’ve always dreamed to be the best player I can be.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

JJ Watt – because of his style of play, the energy he brought with every workout and game. I try and base my play and attitude off of him.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

vs McCaskey our junior season – I was able to block 2 people and then saw our RB giving a high five to another lineman on the way into the end zone.

What was last years season like for you?

It was a good junior year. I loved all those teammates and the memories we made but we came up short from our goal.

What are your goals for this coming season?

To have a great memorable senior season, complete all our goals, win districts, and go as far as we can in state playoffs

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

I matched up against Jemeal Lyons from Roman Catholic the first game last year. He was a highly touted player committed to Penn State. It was a great challenge, I loved the competition, and I hope I get to play against another player like that.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Arrowhead Stadium

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Kansas City Chiefs

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

The 28-3 Super Bowl with the Pats and Falcons. Gotta love a good comeback story.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Tough. It’s between the Blind Side and Remember the Titans. The Blind Side is inspiring and heartwarming. Remember the Titans is a classic though and it inspires me on and off the field.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

If I hear anyone, it’s my Dad telling me to pick it up or something that he sees that I may not see on the field.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Score a touchdown. I actually got one in 5th grade when I played TE, but I don’t think it’ll ever happen playing on the line.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

In terms of sports it’s JJ Watt for t he reasons I said before.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Basketball. I love to play with my friends or just run 5s at the Y. My skills though aren’t there to compete at a high level.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

I was playing in a summer lacrosse league. I threw a pass to try and move the ball upfield. But I threw it right to someone on the other team who was able to score easily.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My brother Sean. He’s my biggest fan. He comes to games when he can. I loved when we were able to play together. He texts me to fire me up before games and I know he’s always supporting me.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Probably hanging out with my friends, driving around, listening to music and hanging out

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My sophomore year. We played Central York in semi-finals for districts. They were a ranked team and it seemed like everyone wrote us off and didn’t give us a chance. But we played hard and won in the final seconds. It was the greatest feeling.

What is your favorite play to run?

I love when I get to down block on a DT. I get to destroy him and open up a hole for my RB.

What scares you the most?

I don’t like sting rays

Music of choice:

R&B

What was your favorite gift as a little boy? Why?

I liked my lacrosse net. I was able to go out and shoot. I have a lot of fun in lacrosse

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Restaurant would have to be Cheesecake Factory. I can get a good meal in there.

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Wawa on top

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Hawaii

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

Probably one of my brothers little league games. I wanted to play but was too young. They probably lost.
