WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Blaise has a great ability to break DBs down and runs routes that create separation. Being the number 2 receiver the last two years behind Drew Gibney, this will be his time to shine. Blaise has a very high IQ and is a tough ball player showing the grit of what Susquenita is all about. This will be his 4th year in a spread style offense.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Susquenita High School ?
Meeting new people and getting to do what I love.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
8 years

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good?
Line Mountain, although it is a grass field, it’s soft and relatively level. Every game I have played there is high energy but at the same time comfortable.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
Offense, I feel like I have more control over the game and am more suited to make big plays on offense.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
1st Team WR in the Conference and Tied the school record for most receiving TDS in a single season dating back to the 90s. Did both of these during my Junior season with stress fractures in both my Fibula and Tibia from a prior injury.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
For our team as a whole, beating Juniata as an underdog 18-7. Personally, our game against Upper Dauphin when I had 3 touchdowns.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
The Seniors, lot’s of great friends, teammates, and athletes leaving our team. I grew up playing football with all of them and I’m going to miss them drastically.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
Break 1000 all purpose yards, 1st Team Wide Receiver in Conference, have a successful and winning season with my team as a whole.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Saquon Barkley, I watched him growing up when he played for Penn State and was inspired to be the best player I could be. He made me dream of playing for Penn State and being like him some day.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
Yes, I was injured at the time of this game my Sophomore season but still remember very vividly what happened. Our center at the time, was in the second to last row on kickoff return to block against Newport, Newport kicked the ball right to him either on accident or on purpose I’m not sure, but they didn’t realize how big he really was because on the return he trucked at least 3 different people in a row and ran for 40 yards.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for?
I don’t remember his name but he wore number 11 for Juniata when I was a Freshman, he was the best opposing receiver I have seen play before.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
McDevitt High School, Penn State, Eagles.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport)Explain:
Philadelphia Eagles, family likes them and I watched some of their players in college.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Tennessee vs Alabama, 2022 season when Tennessee upset Alabama 52-49. Alabama was on a win streak and a top team in the country as usual and Tennessee comes in as an underdog and shows them up. I enjoy watching offensive games with lots of scoring and big plays which is exactly how this game turned out.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Waterboy

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Try quarterback in a game.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Volleyball

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Missing a wide open layup in basketball.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Chess, it’s an enjoyable game of strategy and requires thought.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Sheetz, simply because I’ve never been to a Wawa and rarely go to Rutters.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Outer Banks in North Carolina, laid back and beautiful beaches.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Sharks, deathly creatures.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Chik-Fil-A, best tasting food, professional and respectful.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
No I have not. I would like to see an Eagles game.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAAF, less boasting and dancing, rankings during the season, close and competitive offensive games

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
Rainbow Six Siege

Teach others the game of football and give back to my community.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
Rural/Suburban area, peace and quiet, but still close enough to a populated area for work and shopping.
